Editorial Policy

This page describes how we research, write, fact-check, and update content on The Inbox Ledger.
Who writes what we publish
Articles are written or edited by named contributors with operator-level experience in the topic — not anonymous staff. Every article has a visible byline linking to an author page with credentials and prior published work.
How we research
- Primary research: tools we have actually used in production, audits we have run, data from real campaigns.
- Vendor documentation read in full, not skimmed.
- Independent verification of vendor claims wherever possible.
- RFC specifications, IETF drafts, and Google/Microsoft/Apple sender guidelines as primary sources for deliverability content.
How we test products
Product reviews and comparisons are based on hands-on testing under realistic conditions. We use paid accounts where possible. When we receive free access or extended trials, we disclose it in the article.
Test methodology is described in each review, including timeframe, sample size, and metrics.
How we fact-check
Every article passes through a fact-check pass before publication. Numerical claims, vendor claims, and technical assertions are verified against primary sources. Corrections are appended to articles publicly when factual errors are found post-publication.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to assist with research, outlining, and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human with subject-matter expertise before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output. This policy reflects current Google Search guidance on content quality regardless of production method.
How we update content
Articles display a "last updated" date. Significant updates (new data, changed recommendations, corrections) trigger a date refresh. Older content that no longer represents our current view is either updated, marked as archived, or removed — not silently retained.
